Antrim Fly Fair

Chris hails from rural South Africa and from a very young age developed an interest and passion in African wildlife and fishing. He has extensive experience on fly fishing and guided in the African wilds having worked as Senior Game Ranger on the world reknowned Shamwari Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape.

Chris has fished every nook and cranny of Southern Africa from the mighty Zambezi River and Okavango Delta to the tiny streams of the Southern Drakensbarg. Catching everything from tiny trout to sailfish and the toothy tigers of the Zambezi and Kavango rivers.

Chris holds both the qualified fly casting and fly dressing qualifications through APGAI Ireland as well as a NOCN level 3 Game Angling Instructors qualification.

He welcomes fly fishers of all ages and experience levels for casting or fly dressing instruction and guided fishing based in Co. Antrim and Down. A devoted light-line fanatic, specializing in small stream trout fishing and rivercraft and look forward to meeting like minded anglers at The Antrim Fly Fair, Shanes Castle. 

Chris is sure to add a totally unique dimension to a fishing day out and provides informative yet informal instruction and tuition with some tight lines and good craic inbetween.
